Dr. Joseph Catalano grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, where he graduated from De Smet Jesuit High School in 1983. He attended Saint Louis University from 1983 to 1988 completing Bachelor’s Degrees in both Chemistry and Biology. Dr. Catalano’s graduate studies were completed at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry between 1988 and 1992. During that time he was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Honorary Dental Society for academic achievement. He was recipient of the William S. Kramer award for academic excellence in 1991.

In 1992, Dr. Catalano began a 4 year journey of specialty training at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. His specialty training encompassed oral surgery, facial trauma, jaw and facial reconstruction, IV anesthesia, TMJ disorders, and pathology (tumors and abnormalities of the jaw and face). Dr. Catalano completed his residency in surgery and moved to the Denver area where he has been in private practice since 1996. In 2007 Dr. Catalano limited his practice to focus on Dento-alveolar Surgery (removal of teeth/wisdom teeth), Dental Implantology and Bone/Tissue Grafting/Regeneration.

Dr. Catalano is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), and the Colorado Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (CSOMS). Previous affiliations include Membership Chairman of CSOMS and American Trauma Society with ATLS certification.

He continues to pursue all current and cutting edge developments, knowledge, techniques, and materials used in oral surgery, dental implantology, bone and tissue regeneration and outpatient IV anesthesia by attending numerous Continuing Education courses and seminars around the country and internationally.

Dr. Catalano lives in Parker with his wife Brittany and his 3 children Dominic, Olivia and Aribella. He enjoys most any activity he can do with his family, fitness training, hiking, traveling and culinary arts. He is also a terrible golfer .
